Holidays and Breaks in East Anglia
Wisbech is aptly known as "The Capital of the Fens". An area originally reclaimed from the sea, the Fenland area stretches through parts of the three counties with a high agricultural output and abounds with fishing and wildlife.
The area is well served by public transport which provides easy access to the centres of the nearby Market Towns and Cities, all rich in tradition and architecture. The mainline railway station at Peterborough gives rail access to the centre of London in just 50 minutes, whilst nearby March railway station allows a rail journey time of 18 Minutes to the City of Ely and just another 18 minutes to the centre of Cambridge, which this year celebrates its University's 800th year.
The Norfolk coast and beach is less than 30 minutes away and there are special "Day Rover" tickets available for the City and Coast hopper bus services.
If you are considering a stay in the Fens, then whatever the season the links on the right will point you to just a few of the interesting places to visit while using Elme Hall Hotel as your base.
